The talent was mediocre and storyline was awful
"There were a few good singers. We enjoyed seeing Joey Fatone, and Juliet was really talented, but everyone else was mediocre or just drab. The storyline was awful. It’s sad to spend so much money on nice seats, and it’s the first show in NYC that’s we’ve ever left at intermission. While there were tons of kids, I would not say it’s appropriate for kids at all. I could hear the children behind me in shock, and they were forcefully pushing a sexual agenda. It felt more like a political rally than just enjoying a great show. Very disappointing for adults and children. Don’t take them please. Unnecessary foul language and vulgar. I wish I could get my time and money back. "

My High Expectations were Sorely Unmet!
"This show is not good. It is very hard to make a good comedy on Broadway and this one failed massively. No indication what time period this play takes place because it references the past but has modern items in it like the actors on stage wearing headphones that would not have existed then. Very convoluted because it includes too many substories (does not go deep enough into any one of them) and the musical is very lazy in its use of songs, i.e. not a lot of creativity. There are also some sexual innuendos that are inappropriate for young children. My expectations were high in that I thought it would be like the play Six. If you'd like to see a fun woman-empowering play, that one is MUCH better!!!!!"

Not my favorite Play…
"As I read the reviews for this play they all were good, it said that it was family friendly. So I felt that it would be a good fit for me and my family. As the show began it soon became apparent that it eas not family friendly. It is a cute idea and I was excited about it but as the play went on the focus became more about a gay relationship, gender identity. with a major focus on sex. Which is not something I would want my 8 year old to watch. The music is fun but the storyline was not a good fit for me and my family. We ended up leaving halfway through. "

About & Juliet

& Juliet flips the script on the greatest love story ever told, imagining what would happen next if Juliet hadn’t ended it all over Romeo, and got a second chance at life and love – on her terms. Juliet’s new story bursts to life through a playlist of pop anthems as iconic as her name, all written by Max Martin and his collaborators, including “Since U Been Gone,” “Roar,” “Baby One More Time,” “Larger Than Life,” “That’s The Way It Is,” “Can’t Stop the Feeling,” and many more.
